Pressing the Reset button

It is now three weeks since the “Lockdown” was instigated and, in that time, many sadly have lost their lives and many more have become ill. Business is a secondary issue compared to personal well being, and we remember this at all times.

This blog is, of course, business-focused - difficult as it is to predict anything at this extraordinary time.

It is clear that, even with an improvement in the health situation over the next few weeks, business will not be the same for some time. Hopefully through prudence and use of the appropriate Government support, your business will survive and start to make money again.

It goes without saying that each and every business is individual, with unique issues to resolve and opportunities to realise. This is a one-off chance to “reset” and use the precious resource of time to plan for the future.

Business aspirations and values can start to be re-formed during this time; this will be a key part of business in the post-COVID world.

As businesses, we are instinctively optimistic and we must remain so during this time. The future will be different but the opportunity to “reset” and improve will mark out those who will be successful going forward.
